Welcome!
The Heartsong Shala is a sacred space meditation and music studio, devoted to the embodied remembrance of our Holy Being, both human and divine, through the use of intention, voice, music, meditation, inquiry, and community as the orienting modalities of practice.
We offer heart-centered offerings, classes, and courses, in the realms of song and chant circles, holistic voice coaching, songwriting apprenticeships, qigong, harmonium lessons, meditation, yoga, sound healing, spiritual companioning, song leader trainings, and other related offerings through both private sessions and group classes and events.
We are located in the heart of Crescent Hill, at 2822 Frankfort Ave, on the second floor of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
Our intention is to always lead with the heart, cultivating devotion to that which is most sacred within us,
to support and show up for our beloved community,
to truly see and honor each individual just as they are,
to work for the empowerment and liberation of all voices and all whole human expression, for the good of all beings and all life.

The Heartsong Shala’s first cohort of Song & Chant Leader graduates has a special offering for the Louisville community…
Song of the Heart: A Devotional Chant Gathering
May 9th, 5-7 pm | The Inner Warrior 600 Distillery Commons Suite 250
Weavers of the Heartsong is a collective of voices brought together through a shared journey in devotional chant and song leadership. We recently completed a deeply immersive training with Emily Joan Smith, a gifted devotional singer and educator whose work through the Heartsong Shala carries a powerful transmission of music as prayer, presence, and connection.
Out of this experience, our group, Weavers of the Heartsong, was formed, inspired by the threads of voice, spirit, and devotion that have woven us together.
To honor and celebrate this journey, we are opening a space for community.
We invite you into an evening of shared song, where voices rise together in simple, inspirational chants that quiet the mind and open the heart. Rooted in the traditions of devotional music and kirtan, this gathering is an opportunity to reconnect with yourself, with one another, and with the deeper current of love that lives within us all.
No singing experience is needed, only a willingness to listen, to feel, and to join in as you are.
This event is being held at Inner Warrior on May 9 at 5pm. It is being offered by donation. Any donations collected will go directly to the Inner Warrior for allowing us to hold this space. Suggested donation is $10-$20.
All are welcome. Feel free to arrive a little early to connect in community.
Come sing with us and be held in the resonance of the heart.
No registration required. Just show up!
